Episode 003: If You Know Yourself, You Can Move Past Fear
This week on the podcast for The Circles of Men Project, we’re talking about fear. For some, it was about conquering fear and increasing the number of “arrows in your quiver” for that, practical tools for managing or working through fear. For others, fear was a valuable tool itself, a motivator and even a reward in and of itself. What’s your experience of fear? Leave us a comment.
As always, you are personally invited to the Circle of Men Project’s weekly gatherings, especially if you are male, identify as male, or pondering the meaning and implications of masculinity in the world today.
My thanks to William Pilcher, Jack Frick, and Gary Sellergren for participating this week.
Here are the videos that were the starting point for this week’s gathering:
Akbar Gbaja-Biamila - “If you know yourself, you can move past fear.”
Michelle Zarrin - Danger vs fear. The mind plays tricks on us.
Drew Canole - 2 Truths
Stefan James - Fear is an emotion.
